Author Biography

Almudena Machado-Jiménez, University of Jaén

Almudena Machado-Jiménez has a PhD in Literatures in English from the University of Jaén, Spain, where she works as Lecturer in the Department of English Philology. She obtained a BA degree in English Studies and two MAs, one in Teacher Training and another in English Studies with a specialization in English literatures and cultures. During her PhD studies, she has been a visiting researcher at SOAS University of London and ULICES University of Lisbon. She has publications in international journals and books on the topics of gender studies, patriarchal utopias, and contemporary dystopian novels. She is the President of the Association of Young Researchers on Anglophone Studies (ASYRAS) and is actively engaged in the field of English studies, working as an associate editor of journals including Gaudeamus and The Grove — Working Papers on English Studies, and contributing to organizing conferences and workshops on research training and feminism.
